Why did you choose to attend UE?

I wanted the Division One student-athlete experience at a prestigious business school. Earning the National Merit Scholarship Award also made UE very affordable.

What activities or organizations have you been/were you involved with at UE? How have these impacted you and your college career?

I was on the Men's Soccer team and in the honors program all three years I have attended UE. I have been a Schroeder Business School Ambassador since the Fall 2024 semester.

What makes UE a special place?

UE is a special place due to its importance and integration with the community. Many people in the Evansville community genuinely want to see students and the University succeed. I enjoy seeing that support at games and in public. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to live in Lincoln Commons. This has been a great living experience due to having my own room and having a kitchen and washer/dryer I can share with my roommates.

What advice would you share with incoming students?

UE allowed me to be flexible in my degree and graduation plans. This allowed me to graduate a year early, take enjoyable courses, and complete projects that were relevant to my desired career. I would encourage all students to plan out their college experience to best fit their future goals.

Why do you recommend the University of Evansville?

I recommend the University of Evansville due to its personal touch on education, as developing relationships with professors can be very valuable and rewarding. I also appreciate the flexibility UE offered me in graduating early and taking classes I wanted to take that still added to my degree.

How has UE been affordable for you?

UE was affordable for me as the University qualified me for a scholarship based on the National Merit Scholarship Award I won in high school. UE also made it easy for me to transfer CLEP and Ivy Tech credits that were more feasible for summer courses.

Did you visit UE before deciding to attend?

I visited UE once for a meeting with the Men's Soccer coaching staff, and then once more for Purple Visit Day before attending the school.

Do you have anything else to share about your UE experience?

College can be just as much about the connections you make with others as it is about the education. I would encourage all students to find a good group of friends and roommates, as I have, to work through the good and tougher times together.
