Mrs. Jalessa Slade has over 10 years of extensive experience working in nonprofits, including community outreach, grant research and writing, fund development, media and communications, and program development and implementation. She is the President & CEO of Slade Consulting, a company focused on mission driven results for nonprofits. Within Southwestern Indiana, Jalessa has worked on behalf of the Evansville African American Museum as Director of Development and interim Executive Director, Development Associate at Carver Community Organization and Community Impact Manager at the United Way of Southwestern Indiana. She has been extremely active in Toastmasters International, the Young Professional Alliance of the Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce, and the University of Evansville’s Alumni Association Board of Directors. In 2020, Jalessa received the YWCA Evansville’s Woman on a Mission award in the area of Racial and Social Justice. In 2021, Jalessa received the Junior League of Evansville’s Top 20 Women in Business award.
