Why you chose UE?

I chose UE because I wanted to go to a school where I could have close connections with not only my fellow students, but also experienced faculty members that could be there for me throughout my college journey. I also wanted to go somewhere not too big and not too far from home, but still have many opportunities for me to get involved and learn from renowned experts in the fields of Health Sciences. UE has certainly ticked all of those boxes for me. With the small yet beautiful campus and faculty that are always willing to talk on a one-on-one basis, I feel as though UE is much more of a close-knit community than a typical university.

What is your favorite thing about UE?

My favorite thing about UE has to be the relationships I am able to have with my professors. The professors at UE are not only experts with many years of experience, but are kind-hearted people that truly care about your success. My professors have always been there for me, whether I was having trouble with an assignment or just going through a rough time. Many of which have even given me their personal cell phone numbers, giving me the ability to simply call or text them for any reason. It really makes the learning environment so much better when you know the people teaching you don’t view you as a number, but truly care about you.

Any other helpful information about your major or any advice, remembering what it was like to go through the college search?

For any students currently on the college search, I would like to advise you to take the time to thoroughly research the university you are thinking about attending. Talk to current or former students to get a feel for what being a part of that community is like. I think it is important to not only find a school that has a good program in your desired major, but also is a place that you fit well in and enjoy being involved in. The Health Services Administration program and School of Health Sciences staff were very informative in my college search progress and were able to answer any questions I had. I would highly recommend any students interested in the program to reach out with any questions they may have as this was a fantastic resource when I was first thinking about attending UE.
