Nursing

Class Year: 2008

I received my BSN from UE in 2008 and went to work as a student nurse intern, patient care tech, and then nurse at Deaconess Hospital. I have had many opportunities as a nurse at Deaconess including being an ICU nurse, team leader, manager, director, and most recently the Chief Nursing Officer at Gateway. I believe in life-long learning and professional development, so I obtained my MSN in Nursing Leadership and Management in 2019 and will finish with my DNP next summer. Also, I have had the privilege to become certified in critical care, trauma, and nursing leadership. In all of my roles, I have been able to help ensure quality patient care is provided and to help support the nursing team. These are some recent pictures of fun we have had this week with Nurses’ Week with a photo booth and with coffee cart rounding. I appreciate all of the opportunities I have been given in my career, and it all started with my education at UE!
