Anonymous Survey

This survey is anonymous and voluntary, and we hope you share your thoughts. No one at the University of Evansville will have access to the raw data as it is being collected, and results will be aggregated and anonymous before they are shared with UE.

Questions Can Be Skipped if Needed

Some questions will be asked about discrimination and harassment you may have experienced. Recalling and discussing these experiences can be difficult. As a reminder, you can skip any questions. Resources are available to those in need.

What Is Our Goal?

UE wants to achieve a 60 percent participation completion rate. If we reach that goal, a $500 donation will be made to United Sound. This organization was created through a ChangeLab, and its purpose is to give students with disabilities an opportunity to learn how to read and play music and perform in a concert.

Who Is Conducting This Survey?

The survey is conducted by Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS), a nonprofit corporation at the Center of Inquiry at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. HEDS has 40 years of experience conducting research designed to gather information on behalf of colleges and universities. Comprised of more than 100 colleges and universities across the United States, they regularly conduct surveys to help institutions of higher learning assess their teaching practices, educational outcomes, employment outlooks for graduates, college loan debt, campus life satisfaction, and a variety of other important topics.

A Message from the Vice President for Talent & Community and Chief Inclusion & Equity Officer

Dear UE Campus Community,

The University of Evansville is committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive environment that makes every student, faculty, and staff member feel welcomed, supported, and respected.

Today, UE launched the 2023 Campus Survey with the Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS) at www.evansville.edu/campussurvey. On this webpage, you will find the link to take the survey and learn more about it.

This survey will help us better understand our:

  • Perceptions of campus viewpoints,
  • How our campus supports diversity, equity, and inclusion, and
  • Experiences with discrimination and harassment on campus.

This survey is a valuable tool for informing and improving support, policies, and practices related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, including those to prevent or respond to discrimination and harassment.

The survey will be open for responses between April 3 - April 21. Everyone from our campus community is encouraged to participate. Completing the online survey takes approximately 15 minutes and is completely anonymous.

The survey asks questions about discrimination and harassment you may have experienced. Recalling and discussing these experiences can be difficult. As a reminder, you can skip any questions. Resources are available to those in need.

Our goal is to achieve a 60 percent participation completion rate. If we reach that goal, a $500 donation will be made to United Sound. This organization was created through a ChangeLab, and its purpose is to give students with disabilities an opportunity to learn how to read and play music and perform in a concert.

We look forward to your feedback and participation.

Sincerely,

Rob Shelby, PhD
Vice President for Talent & Community and Chief Inclusion & Equity Officer
