Program Highlights

Theatre stage design studentsThe Creative Technologies program at UE offers students the opportunity to use the knowledge and skills they acquire in the classroom in a variety of practical settings, including:

  • Conceiving and producing audio podcasts with the UE Department of Communication, winner of a 2021 Edward R. Murrow Award for its role in producing Covid Between the Coasts podcast
  • Supporting performances and recording music with the University of Evansville's Music Conservatory
  • Working behind-the-scenes on productions with the University of Evansville's award-winning Department of Theatre
  • Running camera or working in the production truck for UE's award-winning broadcasts of NCAA Division I athletics on ESPN+
  • Conceiving and producing film and video projects like Project Guatemala, a short documentary by Department of Communication students Brea Mullen '20 and Amanda Ackerman '21 that earned an Ohio Valley Regional Student Emmy Award for Best Documentary
  • Getting a job writing, designing, or producing content for clients of UE's student-run marketing and advertising agency, Embrace Marketing.
  • Writing, designing, photographing, or creating online content for UE's student publication, The Crescent
  • Working on- and off-campus for audio and visual products, including real-world projects that benefit the Evansville community through UE's ChangeLab program
