Adjunct French Instructors

About the University:

The University of Evansville (UE) was founded in 1854 and is located in Southwestern Indiana.  Since its inception, the University has enjoyed a strong relationship with the United Methodist Church, sharing with it a commitment to inclusiveness. Currently, the University’s full and part-time, undergraduate, adult, graduate and Harlaxton College (Grantham England) enrollment is 2,500 representing students from 55 countries and 44 states.  Faculty members are committed to scholarship, passionate about teaching, and preparing the student for success.

About the Positions:

The University is inviting applications for part-time instructor positions in the areas of French/Francophone Studies upper level courses for majors and minors, as well as intermediate language classes, and conversation and composition courses. Applicants can apply for all levels or indicate a specific level they wish to teach. Maximum number of courses per semester will be three, but more realistically, you will be hired to teach no more than 2 courses per semester. This is an on-going position. For non-locals with experience teaching online upper level French classes, please discuss this in your cover letter.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in French/Francophone literature, culture, Linguistics or related field.

Compensation: Commensurate with education, experience and departmental budget.
