Graduate Assistant - Sports Performance

The University of Evansville is seeking a dynamic and motivated Graduate Assistant for Sports Performance to join our Athletics Department. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of physical preparation for assigned sport teams, including strength and conditioning programs, injury prevention strategies, and performance enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive training programs for assigned athletic teams.
  • Assist in the development and execution of training programs for all other University sports teams.
  • Ensure safe and effective use of the weight room and maintain a clean, organized training environment.
  • Collaborate with athletic trainers, coaches, and other staff to ensure training plans align with each team’s competitive goals.
  • Monitor athlete progress, conduct performance testing, and modify programs as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, or a related field.
  • Acceptance into a University of Evansville graduate program.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • CSCS, SCCC, or other relevant certification

Additional Information:

This is a graduate assistantship position and includes tuition remission and a stipend. The role requires flexibility, including evenings and weekends, based on team schedules.
