Graduate Assistant - Swim & Dive Coach
The University of Evansville, a member of the Missouri Valley Conference, invites applications for the Graduate Assistant position with the Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving program. This is an outstanding opportunity to gain hands-on NCAA Division I coaching experience while pursuing a graduate degree.
Position Summary:
The Graduate Assistant – Swim & Dive Coach will support all aspects of the swimming & diving program, including:
- Recruiting and retaining academically and athletically qualified student-athletes
- Developing strong relationships with student-athletes, staff, and faculty
- Assisting with practice planning, preparation, and coaching
- Coordinating film exchange and editing, statistics, and logistics
- Supporting team and coaches’ travel arrangements
- Helping with camps, clinics, and community service initiatives
- Assisting in program marketing, promotions, and social media
- Providing general program administration and other duties as assigned
- All responsibilities must be performed in compliance with University, NCAA, and Missouri Valley Conference rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Division I collegiate swimming or diving experience preferred
- CPR, AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to academic and athletic excellence
