Assistant Softball Coach

The University of Evansville, a member of the Missouri Valley Conference and NCAA Division I, invites applications for the position of Assistant Softball Coach. This is a full-time position that will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the softball program, including coaching, recruiting, and program administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and conducting practices and team training sessions
  • Support scouting and recruiting efforts to identify and evaluate prospective student-athletes
  • Aid in the development and implementation of game strategies
  • Contribute to the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes
  • Ensure compliance with all NCAA, conference, and University rules and regulations
  • Perform administrative duties and other responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals, rules, and NCAA regulations
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, coaches, faculty, staff, and the public
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coaching and/or collegiate playing experience
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop high-level athletes
