What has your experience at UE been like?
I completed my Undergraduate Studies degree at the University of Evansville. After my time at UE, I knew I wouldn't be able to leave. When deciding where to pursue my PsyD, I considered multiple programs. There are many amazing universities in the country to get a degree from, but not every university has the community and support system that UE does. The faculty and the PsyD program itself reflect a genuine passion and love not only for teaching, but for mentoring and shaping the next generation of psychologists. My advice for those exploring doctoral programs is to hold onto the excitement that brought you here. It’s easy to get lost in the stress of applications and the uncertainty of the years ahead, but remembering your “why” makes all the difference. Look for a program that supports not only your research and clinical interests, but also your growth as a person. For me, UE is the perfect place to grow both as a clinician and as an individual.
