What did you think about UE after your campus visit?
I loved the greenery, architecture, and all the wildlife (squirrels).
Why did you choose to attend UE’s PsyD program over other graduate/doctoral programs?
I chose UE's program because of the university's strong reputation in my community, the small cohort size, access to an on-campus mental health clinic, and the emphasis placed on training culturally competent clinicians.
What advice would you share with students going through the college search for graduate/doctoral programs?
Schedule a meeting with the director or professor of interest before you apply. I met with the clinical director, Dr. Jordan twice before I applied with a laundry list of questions each time. The patience and genuineness of Dr. Jordan was apparent from the start. The professors make the program what it is. They are the people who will educate and inspire you for the next five years, so it is important their interests and personalities complement your professional goals
and personal values.
Why do you recommend UE?
I would definitely recommend UE, specifically this program, for anyone aspiring to be a well-rounded and culturally informed, clinical psychologist. The professors, faculty, and fellow students are all truly supportive of your success.
Hobbies:
I love drinking coffee, reading, traveling, watching movies, and hanging out with my husband and dogs.
