UE Experiences

My time at UE laid the foundation for my medical education and my career in medicine. It was at UE that I really learned how to learn, which was and is an invaluable skill. In my biology and chemistry courses, I not only learned the foundations of those subjects, but also how to search and evaluate the scientific literature, how to conduct an experiment, and how to write a scientific paper. I use all of these skills on a regular basis, and they have helped me through medical school and in a career in academic medicine (treating patients while doing research and teaching medical students and residents). I am now in private practice, but still maintain an academic affiliation and will continue to use the skills I learned at UE.

Study Abroad Experiences

I studied at Harlaxton College during Fall 1997. It was a truly eye-opening experience to live in another country and be able to explore Europe with friends. The experience helped me better understand a global perspective on many topics. I would recommend it to anybody.
