- UE Connect
-
As a graduating senior, you can talk with an alumnus from either your field of study or the geographic area where you are moving. UE Connect is a collaboration with the Office of Alumni and Engagement.
- Career advising
-
Work one-on-one with a career advisor to set goals and create a strategic career development plan. Office professionals can advise you at any stage of your educational career, but it is a good idea to begin this during your freshman year.
- Self-assessment
-
Our TruTalent Personality assessment tool and “What Can I Do With This Major?” tool will help you identify strengths and explore career options that fit.
- Internships/Co-ops
-
One of the best ways to prepare for the world of work is by obtaining hands-on experience through an internship or co-op. We can assist you in finding such positions and refer your résumé to employers seeking interns and co-op students.
- Handshake
-
Post your résumé, view internships, and look for full- and part-time positions, all on the career services website.
- On-campus recruiting
-
Our office facilitates on-campus interviews between students and dozens of employers during the fall and spring semesters.
- Graduate school assistance
-
View graduate school guides in the Career Resource Room and receive assistance with the graduate school timeline. We can also assist you in writing your personal statement or essay.
- Career fairs
-
Every year, we sponsor three career fairs for UE students: Career Day, Health Careers Fair, and Teacher Recruitment Day. Remember – it is never too early to attend a career fair to learn about career opportunities and network with professionals.
- Mock interviews
-
Practice makes perfect! Sign up for a mock interview to practice your questions and answers.
- Mentoring programs
-
Each fall, we give students the opportunity to work closely with a professional in the community or online. Mentoring programs provide you the opportunity to network, learn new work-related skills, and become more focused on your career goals.
- Résumé/Cover letter help
-
Get assistance with your résumé or cover letter. Make an appointment to meet one-on-one with a professional who will help you present yourself in a positive manner.
- Workshops
-
We offer workshops every semester to help prepare you with the skills you will need to land the perfect job. Opportunities include résumé-writing and interview skills.
- Professional panels/Career forums
