• Objective must be brief! 6-14 words
• List 4-10 relevant courses
• Computer skills
• List any work experience
• Accomplishments
• No High School Information (few exceptions)
• Leadership
• Community service

Format

• Margins- .7 all around; possible .5 top/bottom
• Use ruler bar and set your own tabs; DO NOT USE THE SPACE BAR!!
• Name in 16-20 font; all other text same size; preferably 12/11
• Avoid using tables
• Always use past tense
• Keep information uniform, consistent and in alignment
• In MS Word, bullets can be tricky; keep bullets/characters simple/not too many
• Use all Caps, bold, italics; avoid underline
• Limit punctuation
