Introduction

Our Mission

The mission of Counseling and Disability Services is to foster an inclusive, supportive, and empowering environment where all students have the opportunity to thrive academically, personally, and professionally. We are dedicated to providing accessible resources that nurture mental health, honor individual strengths, and encourage full engagement in campus life.

Our Values

  • Compassion: We meet students with understanding, warmth, and respect, recognizing the courage it takes to reach out for support.
  • Confidentiality: We honor the privacy and dignity of every student, offering a safe space where honesty and healing can flourish.
  • Accessibility: We are dedicated to reducing barriers and providing equitable opportunities for students of all abilities to succeed.
  • Empowerment: We help students build confidence, resilience, and independence by equipping them with tools for growth and self-advocacy.
  • Collaboration: We work hand-in-hand with students, faculty, staff, and campus partners to foster a culture of belonging and shared care.

Message from the Director

Welcome to Counseling and Disability Services at the University of Evansville! At UE, we believe every student has the ability to thrive academically and personally, and my team and I are dedicated to supporting you as you embark on this step in your journey. We love being a part of your story at UE, a part of you learning who you want to be, and how to make that happen. Watching as you discover who you are and the strengths you never knew you had makes what we do worthwhile. Our place here at UE exists because YOU do! If you ever need or want extra support, if you find yourself lost or confused, if you're hurting and need a quiet space to grieve, or if you're simply looking for a place to grow, we'll be ready and waiting to meet you where you are.
