Career Success

The study of humanities prepares students for a wide variety of careers and advanced study.

Humanities courses at UE

  • provide students with the skills and knowledge to obtain meaningful employment while also providing them the foundation to grow and learn throughout their lives.
  • teach students how to read, think, and write critically and to respond to the increasing demands from employers for those talents.
  • help students better understand the interconnected world we live in so that they might better help to shape our common future.

UE's humanities programs and Office for Career Development work together to assist students in attaining their professional employment or graduate school goals. UE provides students with opportunities for career exploration, experiential education, and professional skill development.

For the class of 2020, the career outcome rate – employment or graduate school – was 91 percent.
