U.S. News & World Report Ranks University of Evansville Amongst Best Colleges
Posted: Tuesday, September 24, 2024
The University of Evansville (UE) has been ranked No. 17 among the best Midwest Regional Universities for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report. UE also ranked No. 15 for Best Value Schools in Regional Universities (Midwest).
Now in its 40th year, the rankings evaluate nearly 1,500 national colleges and universities on a variety of factors, some of which are relevant to academic quality and student success.
"We understand that these rankings hold significance for those choosing a college. While we take pride in our ranking, we also have a different perspective from U.S. News on what truly matters,” said UE President Christopher M. Pietruszkiewicz. “Our decisions are not driven by the pursuit of rankings; rather, we are focused on making choices that positively affect our students and advance our commitment to the community. Last year was remarkably impactful for UE, and we look forward to even more achievements ahead."
U.S. News claims that it publishes the Best Colleges rankings each year to provide prospective students and their families with the comparative merits of the undergraduate programs at America’s colleges and universities.
“For 40 years, Best Colleges has continued to evolve as a trusted companion to prospective students and their families during the decision-making process,” said LaMont Jones, Ed.D., managing editor for Education at U.S. News. “The rankings and editorial content offer crucial data as well as college advice and informed reporting to all who seek a college education.”
