The University of Evansville (UE) has once again been recognized nationally for its commitment to supporting transfer students.

For the fourth time, UE has been named to the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Transfer Honor Roll, which highlights institutions that create dynamic pathways to success for community college students transitioning to four-year universities.

UE is one of just three private colleges in Indiana to earn this distinction, along with Valparaiso University and Trine University. The majority of honorees are larger public institutions, making this recognition especially noteworthy for a smaller private university like UE.

The 2025 PTK Transfer Honor Roll includes 251 colleges and universities nationwide. The selection is based on 40 key metrics that reflect the support and success of transfer students, including cost and financial aid, admission practices, campus life, and bachelor’s degree completion rates. Data is drawn from both the National Student Clearinghouse and PTK Connect, an online resource designed to help students find their best-fit colleges and career pathways.

This year’s honorees demonstrated exceptional outcomes for transfer students. On average, more than half of the undergraduate student body at recognized institutions consisted of transfer students, and three out of four transfers went on to complete their bachelor’s degree. Students also transferred more than 80 percent of their previously earned credits toward their chosen degree plan, and nearly three-quarters of transfer students received merit-based financial aid.

By once again earning a spot on the Transfer Honor Roll, UE continues to demonstrate its commitment to student-centered education and to ensuring that transfer students have the resources, opportunities, and support needed to achieve their goals.
