University of Evansville Theatre announces 2025-2026 Season

The University of Evansville Theatre is thrilled to announce its 2025-2026 season in Shanklin Theatre and the May Studio Theatre, featuring five shows which have never been performed on the UE campus.

Opening the Shanklin Theatre season is Alanis Morissette's JAGGED LITTLE PILL: The Musical, with lyrics by Alanis Morissette, music by Alanis Morissette and Glen Ballard, and book by Diablo Cody. Directed by Assistant Professor Wes Grantom '03, with musical direction by Tyler Simpson, performances will be October 17, 18, 23, 24, 25 at 7:30 p.m., and October 26 at 2:00 p.m.

In the May Studio Theatre, NATIVE GARDENS, by Karen Zacarias, will be directed by Antonio Cortes Roman '26, a senior performance major from Metepec, Mexico, with performances November 20, 21, 22 at 7:30 p.m., and November 22 and 23 at 2:00 p.m.

In the spring, PASSAGE, by Christopher Chen, will be directed by Assistant Professor Stacey Yen in the May Studio Theatre, running February 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 at 7:30 p.m., and February 28 and March 1 at 2:00 p.m.

The Shanklin Theatre season continues with THE STEADFAST, by Mat Smart '01, directed by Grantom, with performances March 20, 21, 26, 27, 28 at 7:30 p.m., and March 29 at 2:00 p.m.

Concluding the season in the May Studio Theatre is THE HUMANS by Stephen Karam, directed by Landry Barker '26, a senior performance major from Fort Worth, Texas, with performances April 23, 24, 25 at 7:30 p.m., and April 25 and 26 at 2:00 p.m.

In addition, UE Theatre's Rogue & Peasant Aces will present a free touring production of William Shakespeare's MACBETH, directed by Yen, with on-campus performances November 7-9, and a tour schedule to be announced.

Single tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for senior adults, UE faculty/staff, and non-UE students. Subscription tickets are available for $45 and include both Shanklin Theatre productions, with a special subscriber price for May Studio Theatre productions at $15 each.
