Director of Operations: Academic Affairs

The University of Evansville is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to serve as the Director of Operations for Academic Affairs. This full-time, in-person position plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Office of Academic Affairs and serves as a vital resource for faculty, students, staff, and administrators across campus.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and experience managing administrative operations and budgets in a higher education or comparable setting.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Academic Affairs budgets and accounts, including signatory authority on departmental transactions
  • Coordinate university-wide programs such as the Tuition Exchange Program, faculty awards, and internal grant processes
  • Maintain records of student and parent complaints and assist with resolution efforts
  • Oversee faculty teaching loads and facilitate the administration of student course evaluations
  • Coordinate major academic events including Fall Conference and the Majors & Minors Fair; participate in the campus-wide Ceremonies Committee
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Office of Academic Affairs, including support for faculty and staff across campus
  • Contribute to process improvements and the efficient operation of Academic Affairs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of administrative and leadership experience
  • Accounting and budgeting experience desirable
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with general office systems and technology
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to the mission and values of a student-centered academic environment
