Student Receivables Cashier

The University of Evansville Office of Student Financial Services invites applications for a Student Receivables Cashier, with an anticipated start date of June 23, 2025.

The Office of Student Financial Services is dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service and providing financial guidance and support to students and their families. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, service-focused environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve students, families, and the campus community in person, by phone, and via email at the cashier counter.
  • Process non-accounts receivable cash reconciliation and prepare bank deposits.
  • Receive, sort, and direct incoming mail.
  • Post and reconcile student account payments accurately.
  • Process student refunds and athletic stipends.
  • Support daily cashier team responsibilities to ensure smooth front office operations.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date records of all transactions in compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Office of Student Financial Services.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of customer service experience; cashiering experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) preferred.
  • Prior experience working across multiple technology platforms is a plus.

The Office of Student Financial Services serves the University’s students and campus community by providing guidance on billing, payments, and financial aid processes. The cashiering team ensures daily operational support, monitors customer interactions, and resolves complex financial issues with efficiency and care.
