Graduate Assistant - Baseball
The University of Evansville, a member of the Missouri Valley Conference, invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant for the Baseball Program. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a competitive NCAA Division I athletics environment while pursuing graduate studies.
Position Summary
The Graduate Assistant will support the baseball coaching staff in all facets of the program. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes
- Developing strong relationships with student-athletes, faculty, staff, and alumni
- Film exchange, video editing, and statistical analysis
- Assisting with practice planning, game-day coaching, and player development
- Supporting team and coaching staff travel logistics
- Assisting with marketing, promotions, social media, and community outreach
- Contributing to the coordination of camps, clinics, and fundraising initiatives
- Performing other duties as assigned by the head coach
- All responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with University, NCAA, and Missouri Valley Conference rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Collegiate playing or coaching experience preferred
- Proficiency in video editing, scouting software, and social media is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Must be accepted and enrolled in a University of Evansville graduate program
