Graduate Assistant - Baseball

The University of Evansville, a member of the Missouri Valley Conference, invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant for the Baseball Program. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a competitive NCAA Division I athletics environment while pursuing graduate studies.

Position Summary

The Graduate Assistant will support the baseball coaching staff in all facets of the program. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes
  • Developing strong relationships with student-athletes, faculty, staff, and alumni
  • Film exchange, video editing, and statistical analysis
  • Assisting with practice planning, game-day coaching, and player development
  • Supporting team and coaching staff travel logistics
  • Assisting with marketing, promotions, social media, and community outreach
  • Contributing to the coordination of camps, clinics, and fundraising initiatives
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the head coach
  • All responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with University, NCAA, and Missouri Valley Conference rules and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Collegiate playing or coaching experience preferred
  • Proficiency in video editing, scouting software, and social media is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Must be accepted and enrolled in a University of Evansville graduate program
