Coordinator of Recruiting and Outreach

 

The University of Evansville invites applications for a Part-Time Coordinator of Recruiting and Outreach in the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration (SFSoBA). This part-time position is designed to support strategic recruitment and community engagement efforts that promote awareness and enrollment in UE’s undergraduate business programs.

Working closely with the Dean, Associate Dean, Office of Admission, Marketing, faculty, alumni, and external partners, the Coordinator will serve as a key liaison between the School and prospective students, families, and community stakeholders.

This role focuses on high-impact recruitment activities, relationship development, and targeted outreach, with an emphasis on building strong connections with local high schools, business academies, and community colleges. The Coordinator will represent SFSoBA at campus events and regional fairs, conduct follow-up communications, and supervise student ambassadors and interns. The role also supports recruitment of transfer, international, adult, and underrepresented student populations.

In addition to recruitment, the Coordinator will foster relationships with alumni and regional business partners, build pipelines through dual-credit and high school pathway programs, and promote the School's offerings through social media and email outreach. The position works with University Marketing to develop and maintain promotional content and assists with website updates, storytelling, and newsletter distribution.

The Coordinator will also help plan and promote signature recruitment events and ensure that campus visits are engaging and personalized. Collaboration with campus partners is essential to provide a seamless experience for prospective students.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, education, communications, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in recruitment, outreach, or a student-facing role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with web-based communication tools.
  • Strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a part-time schedule.
  • Availability for occasional evening/weekend work and local travel.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a higher education environment, particularly within admissions, marketing, or student affairs.
  • Familiarity with Slate CRM, website content management systems, and platforms like Canva, Mailchimp, Lytho or Hootsuite.
  • Understanding of the regional landscape of high schools, community colleges, and business/education partnerships.
