Assistant Vice President of Development

The University of Evansville seeks an Assistant Vice President of Development to be a senior leader within the University Advancement division, responsible for overseeing the strategy, execution, and performance of the university’s philanthropic development efforts. This role provides operational leadership and tactical oversight for major gifts, planned giving, athletics giving, and advancement services. The AVP serves as the internal engine of fundraising—managing people, systems, and production to ensure optimal performance and outcomes. In addition to supervising a comprehensive development team, the AVP will maintain a portfolio of major gift prospects and is expected to personally secure $1 million or more annually in philanthropic support. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in fundraising leadership, a data-informed approach to strategy, and a commitment to donor-centric relationship building.
