Marketing Coordinator
The University of Evansville (UE) is looking for a creative, adaptable, and brand-savvy Marketing Coordinator to join our mission-driven team. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all role; we’ve designed this position with two potential pathways, allowing you to lean into your specific strengths while managing the University’s vibrant social media presence.
If you are a storyteller who loves to think critically, act bravely, and make a meaningful impact through digital and print media, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Regardless of your chosen pathway, you will be a core driver of the University’s voice and digital strategy. Your main duties will include:
- Social Media Strategy: Lead the execution for UE’s primary platforms, including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and Snapchat. You’ll write compelling content, manage organic/paid efforts, and monitor analytics to adjust strategies.
- Content Creation: Develop and curate marketing materials across print, email, web, and digital platforms, ensuring every piece is accurate, engaging, and on-brand.
- Brand Stewardship: Maintain high standards for accessibility, style, grammar, and readability. You will be the "eyes" on content to ensure it aligns with University messaging.
- Community Management: Schedule content, engage with our online audience, and evaluate performance to strengthen our institutional presence.
- Project Coordination: Use our marketing workflow system to plan, track, and deliver assignments, collaborating closely with campus partners and vendors.
Choose Your Specialty
We are looking for the right talent, whether your "superpower" is words or visuals. During the application process, we will explore which track fits you best:
Graphic Design–Focused Pathway
- Design branded digital and print assets (social graphics, ads, recruitment materials).
- Create short-form video and multimedia content.
- Expert use of Adobe Creative Cloud within the UE brand framework.
Marketing Generalist Pathway
- Develop high-impact written copy for campaigns, web, and recruitment communications.
- Coordinate multi-channel marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Collaborate with campus partners to "scout" and tell the best UE stories.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Communication: Exceptional copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Organization: The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech Savvy: Comfort with social media analytics, digital media trends, and marketing workflow software.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in higher education marketing or recruitment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (for Design pathway) or CMS/Email Marketing tools (for Generalist pathway).
- A "community-first" mindset for online engagement.
