Our first HAT talk took place on November 8 via Microsoft Teams.
Jim George (Spring ’86) spoke on “A Tale of Two Chromosomes: Exploring Genomics and Personalized Medicine.” Jim discussed the remarkable strides made in molecular biology and molecular diagnostics, ushering in a new era of personalized medicine.
As advancements are made and technology becomes cheaper, the world of medicine is changing rapidly. Using the patient’s DNA and RNA, physicians are beginning to explore drug dosing disease treatment in a more personalized manner.
