Why did you choose to attend UE?

I was extremely interested in studying abroad and I knew UE had a great program through Harlaxton. Another reason was that it was closer to home. I am close to my family, and I did not want to be too far from them! My last reason was because the Education program is amazing! You can get experience in a classroom as early as freshman year. Since most schools do not put you in until junior or senior year, this stuck out to me.

Did you visit campus before attending UE?

Yes, I did! I really liked how small the campus was. I attended a smaller high school, so I knew being on a smaller campus would help with my transition into college.

What activities or organizations have you been involved with at UE?

I am an Orientation Leader (OL), an Education Ambassador, a representative for the School of Education on the Academic Funds Board, and a member of the Student Activities Board. I think being involved on campus has helped me make a lot of new friends with similar interests! I especially love being an OL so I can help new students feel more welcome on campus!

How has UE been affordable for you?

UE has been able to be affordable to me because of the scholarships I have. UE gave me the most scholarship money out of any school I applied to, which was another factor in my decision to attend UE. I also got some teaching scholarships, helping pay for most of my expenses.

Why do you recommend UE? Do you have any advice for incoming students?

I feel like I have found a great community here and will continue to get a great education from my program. For incoming students, I would recommend getting a head start on meeting people. Reach out to people online and try to find those connections ahead of time so you know a familiar face when you get to campus!
