Coming from a large high school in Houston, Texas, I was drawn to UE’s small Midwestern campus. I quickly gained experience in sports through two internships with UE Men’s Soccer. During my semester abroad at Harlaxton, I also interned with Notts County Football Club, giving me the opportunity to experience the sports industry outside the US.

After graduating, I secured a gameday opportunity with the Houston Texans and eventually the Houston Rockets before joining Spurs Sports and Entertainment in San Antonio. I later joined the NBA’s Social Responsibility and Player Programs team in New York, where my work expanded to other leagues. My role supported community initiatives and workforce development, which ultimately led me to the Oklahoma City Thunder to launch Thunder Fellows, a program designed to expand access to career opportunities for young people across the state. My career evolved considerably, but it all began at UE using sports to strengthen communities and help others reach their potential.

UE gave me a strong foundation in the sports management field, and it taught me the value of hard work and preparation. I left Evansville confident that if I could get my foot in the door, I would learn quickly and contribute through my work ethic.

Sports is truly a labor of love, but if you apply yourself, it will lead to a meaningful career. I could never have mapped out this career when I was a student at UE, and that’s part of what has made the journey so special.
