Susan is the President of Demeter Logistics at Engine No. 1. Engine No. 1 is an investment firm purpose-built to create long-term value by harnessing the power of capitalism. The company believes that over time the interests of Main Street and Wall Street align, and we can engage as active owners to create value by focusing on this alignment. Prior to her role at Engine No. 1, Susan was COO of EdjAnalytics, leading a team to use data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence to help organizations drive decision making using insights from data. She was previously Managing Director of three divisions at Genscape, responsible for leading business, new product development, strategic initiatives and operational activities. During her tenure at Genscape, she co-invented six patents for technologies that produced market insights. Other roles include fuel control design for the Joint Strike Fighter with Honeywell Aerospace and research for the U.S. Navy and NASA Ames Research Center. The common thread and passion through her career is developing new insights from data. She received her PhD and M.S. from the University of Notre Dame in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering and a B.S. in engineering from the University of Evansville.
