Biography
Katie is a clinical assistant professor and chair of the Dunigan Family School of Nursing, teaching mainly at the Sophomore level. As a Perinatal clinical nurse specialist, Katie has worked as an advanced practice nurse in high-risk obstetrics at Tri-State Perinatology for over 10 years. She has worked in Obstetrics for most of her nursing career. She started her career in academia as an adjunct professor in 2006 teaching in pediatrics and obstetrics in the hospitals for UE. In 2018 she returned to her alma mater and began teaching full time as an assistant professor of nursing at the University of Evansville.
Katie is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Educational Leadership.
Outside of work, Katie lives with her husband and three active children in Newburgh, Indiana.
