Homecoming and Family Weekend
Homecoming and Family Weekend at the University of Evansville is a highly anticipated annual event that celebrates the university's rich history and community. It features a range of activities, including athletic events, alumni gatherings, and a Homecoming Block Party organized by the Student Activities Board. The Block Party takes place the second Saturday of November downtown at the Ford Center in celebration of the Purple Aces Men's Basketball team.
International Bazaar
The International Bazaar is a longstanding fall tradition at the University of Evansville, organized by the university's International Club. This vibrant event showcases the diverse cultures represented on campus through international music, dance performances, traditional crafts, and a fashion show highlighting traditional/cultural clothing.
Winter on Walnut
Winter on Walnut is the University of Evansville's annual holiday celebration, planned by the Student Activities Board. This event features festive activities like ice skating, holiday treats, and the lighting of the campus Christmas tree, bringing the entire community together to spread cheer and welcome the winter season.
International Food Festival
This event is held each spring in The Eatery and features a variety of global cuisines, live music, and exciting giveaways.
Purple Palooza
Purple Palooza is the University of Evansville's end-of-year celebration, coordinated by the Student Activities Board. This vibrant event features blow-up attractions, carnival rides, musical acts, food trucks, and more, providing the campus community with a fun-filled sendoff to the academic year.
Bike Race
The UE Bike Race is an exciting annual tradition where students form teams and compete in a high-speed bicycle race around the heart of campus, planned by the University's Fitness Center.
Holi
Holi is the Hindi festival of color! It is the celebration of spring, love, and unity, where we throw vibrant powders, enjoy music, and embrace the spirit of togetherness. It is a new tradition at UE but promises to bring fun for many years to come.
Ramadan
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a sacred time of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. In 2025, the UE hosted a community Iftar and an Eid al-Fitr celebration. Students observing Ramadan received weekly meal packs for Suhoor (pre-dawn) and Iftar (evening) coordinated in partnership with the Islamic Center of Evansville.
