Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science
The School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Evansville invites applications for a visiting Assistant Professor position in Computer Science to start in August 2026.
Applicants should be committed to outstanding undergraduate teaching and have excellent oral and written English skills. Appropriate scholarly/professional development activities and university service are expected. The applicant will be responsible for teaching a wide range of courses, from introductory to senior-level classes, including topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Programming Languages, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Software Engineering and Senior Capstone. The applicant may also contribute to cybersecurity and computer engineering courses, supervise senior capstone projects, and advise and mentor students. Responsibilities also include working with faculty to develop the curriculum, engaging in the program accreditation process, collaborating with the Cybersecurity and Computer Engineering programs.
Required Education
A B.S. in Computer Science, or a closely related field, and an earned doctorate in Computer Science, or a closely related field is required. Teaching experience is preferred but not required.
