Administrative Assistant for Nurse Anesthesia Program

Key Responsibilities
- The Administrative Assistant manages the program office and serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external constituents. Your main duties will include:
- Office & Record Management: Manage daily office operations, maintain accurate records, and provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and the community.
- Executive & Faculty Support: Provide direct support to the program chair, full-time faculty, and adjunct instructors. Create, manage, and problem-solve the Director’s schedule.
- Event Coordination: Assist with the planning and execution of key program events, including Open Houses, Interview Days, Orientation, Regional Workshops, the White Coat Ceremony, and Graduation. (Note: Some evening and Saturday hours are required for these events).
- Financial & Supply Support: Order office and lab supplies, arrange deliveries, and process financial paperwork, including check requests, purchase orders, and internal charge authorizations.
- Marketing & Communication: Assist with submitting and reviewing Marketing Requests. Respond to inquiries via telephone, email, and in-person, and coordinate communications with adjunct faculty members.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Provide coverage for the shared office space during the absence of the Nursing Program’s Administrative Assistant and reserve rooms for campus meetings and events.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) and a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Technology: Strong technology skills, including experience with database integration and the ability to navigate and learn new web-based applications.
- Attributes: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team; enthusiasm and commitment to the University of Evansville mission.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred (Associate degree accepted).
- Experience: Previous administrative experience in an academic or higher education setting is highly preferred.
