Student Receivables Cashier
The University of Evansville (UE) Office of Student Financial Services is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Student Receivables Cashier to join our team starting February 2026. Key Responsibilities
The Student Receivables Cashier serves as a primary point of contact for financial transactions and billing inquiries. Your main duties will include:
- Customer Support: Assist students, families, and the campus community via phone, email, and in person, providing daily guidance on billing and financial aid questions.
- Payment Processing: Post and reconcile student payments accurately. Support other cashier team responsibilities and work collaboratively to resolve complicated billing issues.
- Financial Reconciliation: Process non-AR cash reconciliation and prepare bank deposits. Maintain accurate records of all transactions to ensure compliance with university policies.
- Refunds & Stipends: Manage the processing of student refunds and athletic stipends.
- Administrative Support: Process and direct incoming mail, monitor calls for quality assurance, and provide immediate feedback to ensure exceptional service levels.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the cashiering staff and the wider SFS team to maintain a seamless experience for the campus community.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of customer service experience.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Technology: Capability to work across multiple technology platforms and handle independent tasks.
- Attributes: Ability to provide exceptional customer service to a diverse population and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Some college education is preferred.
- Experience: Prior cashiering experience and general office experience.
- Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel) is a plus.
