Career Advocates

The University of Evansville Career Advocates are student leaders who provide outreach and initial career development support to students. They meet with students seeking advice/support on career-related topics like resume and cover letter development. The Advocates are conveniently available in the Center for Career Development on a walk-in basis; no appointment is necessary! Check out their drop-in hours below!

Elliot Boutell

  • Major: Doctor of Physical Therapy
  • Hometown: Terre Haute, Indiana
  • Fun Fact: I lived in Africa as a kid, and have taken multiple trips back throughout college
  • Biography: Elliot is high-energy and loves to chat with people for far longer than he should. Even throughout grad school, he is involved on campus as an Admissions Ambassador and a member of the Student Christian Fellowship. In his free time, he plays disc golf, runs, watches the Boston Celtics, and plays board games with his friends. Once he graduates DPT school, he hopes to become a Pediatric Physical Therapist.

  • Majors: Neuroscience and Psychology
  • Hometown: St. Louis, Missouri
  • Biography: Mackenzie is a hardworking and organized person who enjoys singing, listening to music, and hanging out with her friends. She also enjoys going on walks and will often take the trails at local parks. In the future, Mackenzie plans to attend medical school with the end goal being to become a psychiatrist.

  • Fun Fact: I compete in triathlons!
  • Biography: Owen is a driven, hard-working person who loves working out, breakfast food, and spending time with family and friends. On campus, you can find Owen involved with Student Christian Fellowship, Ace CARE, and Greek life. Off campus, Owen loves to travel around the world and experience new places! He also loves hiking and hopes to visit every National Park one day. After graduating, Owen will attend DPT school at UE.

  • Major: Construction Management
  • Hometown: Knoxville, Tennessee
  • Fun Fact: Over the summer I worked on the construction of the largest basketball practice facility in the United States for both pro and college athletes.
  • Biography: Lilly is an outgoing and hard working person who enjoys helping others succeed. In her free time she enjoys going to the gym and playing soccer. After she graduates, she hopes to get a job as a project engineer and continue to work on sports and entertainment projects.

  • Major: Psychology and Sociology, Minors in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies/Health and Human Services
  • Hometown: Mitchell, Indiana
  • Fun Fact: She has an axolotl
  • Biography: Emma can often be found walking around campus with a coffee in hand. She’s a Resident Assistant and exec member of Jampon, and (as hinted above) she loves coffee. That love is fueled by her sporadic employment at HoneyMoon Coffee Co. She plans to use her degrees to pursue a career in clinical psychology, and in her spare time she intends to travel as much as she possibly can.
