Common Read Program

The Common Read Experience is an annual tradition of the Honors Program at UE. All incoming Honors students read a text together and discuss its themes in their First Year Seminar (FYS-112H) course, taken their first semester at the university. After reading the text, Honors students are given the opportunity to engage with the author, who is invited to campus to give a guest lecture. The experience encourages students to discuss and learn together while fostering and strengthening a sense of academic community.
