How to Apply

Admission to the University of Evansville’s B/MD program is a dual process. Students admitted to the program will be independently accepted into the undergraduate program at the University of Evansville and the medical degree program at the Indiana University School of Medicine-Evansville.

  1. Submit the University of Evansville undergraduate admission application, high school transcript, and SAT or ACT scores to the University of Evansville Office of Admission no later than November 1, 2023.

  2. Submit the B/MD Program Application no later than November 1, 2023. Application includes a space for an essay addressing your personal interest in medicine and long-term goals in the profession.

  3. The final step in the application is providing the names and email addresses of three individuals for an evaluation. The evaluators will complete an on-line form to be submitted with your application. This replaces providing three traditional letters of recommendation. The B/MD committee likes to hear from:

    • High school counselor or high school principal
    • High school teacher
    • Unrelated individual (coach, employer, minister, etc.)

After applications have been processed, the UE B/MD advisory committee will invite qualified applicants for an interview. After applicant interviews, the UE B/MD committee will select qualified candidates for recommendation of acceptance into the UE B/MD program. Final approval for the UE B/MD program will be the responsibility of the Indiana University School of Medicine Admissions Committee.
