Congratulations, Dr. Aleks Nagornay

Dr. Aleks Nagornay received the Dean's Teaching Award, one of his students had this to say of his impact:

"Dr. Nagornay is not your typical professor...he is so much more than that. Learning with him is not transactional. He gives endlessly without expecting anything in return, and that is something you don’t come across often. He is the type of educator who truly goes above and beyond to make sure we have what it takes to be successful, and not just in his classroom, but in our future careers as well."

"It is clear how invested he is in each of us and in our futures. He welcomes our questions and concerns, and he always takes the time to make sure he is meeting us where we are and answering what we actually need. In just a short year, he has made such a meaningful impact on my journey to becoming a CRNA, and I know he will continue to impact so many students in ways he may never fully realize."

"At the end of the day, it is educators like Dr. Nagornay who makes all the difference. He creates an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and capable of reaching their goals. He is truly invaluable to the University of Evansville CRNA program and is more than deserving of this award."
