Political Science

Students in UE's Political Science program have the opportunity to focus on American politics, comparative politics, international relations, or political thought and theory, offering several options in preparation for a variety of rewarding careers.

After Graduation

Students who study politics will be equipped with professional statistical training can look forward to career positions in the following areas. These careers are increasingly international in scope.

UE graduates are working at the Department of Homeland Security and various sub agencies, on Capitol Hill, at a variety of nongovernmental organizations, and on political campaigns at the state and federal level. The largest contingency of our students work in Washington, D.C.

Many of our graduates also gain Master’s degrees in Public Administration or Political Management, or attend law school at some of the prestigious institutions listed below.

Law School

Students who want to prepare for law school do not need to limit their majors to political science. Law schools want students who can critically analyze situations. This skill is learned in business, English, history, international studies, legal studies, philosophy and several other majors. To help prepare University of Evansville pre-law students for law school, students are assigned a pre-law advisor in addition to their academic advisor.
