From the Ashes, a documentary produced and directed be Joe Atkinson of the Department of Communication faculty, has been nominated for an Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award in the Documentary - Historical category.

The film tells the story of the 1977 University of Evansville men's basketball team and the December 13, 1977, plane crash that killed 29 people - including the entire team - en route to a game against Middle Tennessee State.
