UE to Welcome Visitors During Indiana Private College Week

Posted: Monday, July 8, 2013

From Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, the University of Evansville will join Indiana’s 30 other private, nonprofit colleges and universities in opening its doors to prospective students and their families.

During Indiana Private College Week, UE will offer daily campus tours at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., followed by sessions with admission counselors. Advance registration is encouraged but not required.

Although UE encourages and welcomes visitors throughout the year, this concentrated week offers students an opportunity to visit multiple campuses in a short period of time and without missing school.

Visitors between the ages of 16 and 20 touring ICI campuses during Private College Week will have the chance to enter a drawing for one of three Amazon Kindle Fires.  Entry forms and rules will be available at each campus.

“Students and families discover through visiting that Indiana private colleges are within reach, financially and otherwise,” said Richard L. Ludwick, president & CEO of the Independent Colleges of Indiana, a nonprofit association that represents the state’s 31 private nonprofit colleges and universities. “ICI colleges and universities make millions of scholarship dollars available to students all four years, making top flight higher education a dream come true for tens of thousands of students. We want this week to be a gateway to discovering that dream realized.”

To schedule a visit to UE during Indiana Private College Week, please contact the Office of Admission at 800-423-8633, ext. 2468, or admission@evansville.edu.
