The University of Evansville (UE) has formalized a new partnership with Grace College to provide students with a direct path into UE’s Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs.

The agreement allows high-achieving Grace students to apply for early admission into these professional programs after completing their sophomore year.

Under the agreement:

  • Students maintaining a 3.5 GPA are eligible to apply for direct entry into UE’s MSAT or DPT programs.
  • The MSAT program will admit up to five students per year, while the DPT program will admit up to three students per year, based on GPA, interview, and faculty recommendation.
  • Students will follow a structured 62-credit curriculum during their freshman and sophomore years at Grace Schools, with guidance from both institutions to ensure prerequisites and program consistency are met.

“This partnership reflects UE’s commitment to fostering early professional development and strengthening educational pipelines in health sciences,” said Dr. Andy Lampkins, Dean of the College of Education and Health Sciences.

"The partnership with the University of Evansville is a natural partnership. Our exercise science program and UE's DPT and MAT programs are focused on developing students into medical professionals who will positively impact their patients' lives,” said Christina Walters, program director of exercise science at Grace College. “I know our students will thrive at the next level and be further prepared to lead lives of purpose."

The University of Evansville and Grace College will continue to coordinate on academic advising, course requirements, and student progress to ensure a seamless transition into UE’s professional programs.
