2016 Doctor of Physical Therapy Graduates Recognized

Congratulations to the Doctor of Physical Therapy 2016 graduates!

A hooding and pinning ceremony to honor 45 Doctoral candidates was held on Friday, May 6 in Eykamp Hall with over 300 family and friends in attendance. The Department of Physical Therapy faculty presented awards for outstanding achievements to the following graduates:

  • The Outstanding Physical Therapist Award was presented to Emily Schultz in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement, clinical performance and leadership.
  • The Outstanding Clinical Performance Award was presented to Camille Pfetzer.
  • Matthew Kremer received the Mary Kessler Leadership Award.

The Class of 2016 presented Dr. Phil Plisky with the Mary Bennett Award of Excellence-Outstanding Physical Therapy Professor of the Year.

Tom Whitehurst, ABC, CPO, was recognized with the Friend of Physical Therapy Award for his dedicated service to students, graduates and faculty. Tom is the owner of Riverside Orthotics & Prosthetics.
