Manager of Specialty Markets Recruitment

The University of Evansville (UE) is seeking a strategic, motivated, and relationship-driven Manager of Specialty Markets Recruitment. This critical role is responsible for developing leads and executing innovative strategies to enhance enrollment growth in untapped student markets, including rural students, underrepresented populations, and other specialized demographics. Key Responsibilities

The Manager of Specialty Markets will act as a primary driver for institutional growth through community engagement and active recruitment. Your main duties will include:

  • Strategic Recruitment: Create and implement targeted outreach and recruitment programs designed to increase enrollment in untapped and specialty markets.
  • Partnership Development: Establish and strengthen partnerships within the local and regional community to build sustainable student pipelines.
  • Active Scouting: Engage in "active scouting" by attending and hosting events, following up with prospective students, and representing UE in diverse settings.
  • Data Analysis: Work closely with internal departments to collect and evaluate data to identify potential growth opportunities and inform outreach initiatives.
  • Market Trends: Monitor and analyze current trends in higher education to ensure recruitment strategies remain competitive and effective.
  • Student & Family Engagement: Establish and maintain meaningful contact with prospective students and their families to guide them through the enrollment process.
  • Leadership Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports to senior leadership regarding recruitment progress and market insights.
  • Travel: Travel as needed for regional recruiting and the development of external partnerships.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience: Proven success in recruiting, scouting, sales, or relationship management.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and networking abilities; you must genuinely enjoy building professional relationships and connecting with diverse populations.
  • Attributes: Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Problem Solving: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with rural or underrepresented student populations.
  • Familiarity with higher education enrollment trends and data-driven recruitment strategies.
