Admissions Specialist and Community Outreach Coordinator
The University of Evansville (UE) invites applications for an enthusiastic and organized Admissions Specialist and Community Outreach Coordinator to support two of our distinctive signature programs: the Music Conservatory (approx. two-thirds of the workload) and the Department of Archaeology & Anthropology (approx. one-third of the workload).
This dynamic role is central to driving enrollment growth, enhancing external visibility, and expanding community engagement. As the primary point of contact for prospective students, you will guide future scholars from their first inquiry through campus visits and auditions, while partnering closely with our Offices of Admission, Marketing, and Advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Recruitment & Admissions: Coordinate proactive communication with prospective students and families; schedule and manage campus visits, music auditions, and sample lessons.
- CRM Management: Maintain meticulous prospect records, track engagement, and manage communications through the Slate CRM platform.
- Marketing & Communications: Develop and maintain print, digital, and social media marketing materials; create and update website content, compose press releases, and distribute promotional assets.
- Event Planning & Outreach: Plan and participate in recruitment events, Attend regional recruitment events (e.g., music festivals, professional conferences), and community outreach initiatives designed to strengthen stakeholder engagement.
- Stakeholder Relations: Serve as a bridge between faculty, prospective students, K-12 educators, alumni, donors, and community partners.
- Assist with department calendars, publicity, web updates, and occasional administrative support.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or GED.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of administrative or related professional experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
- Organization: Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Availability: Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and regional travel to support recruitment and outreach events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Industry Experience: Professional experience in higher education, admissions, student recruitment, marketing, or event planning.
- Familiarity with the disciplines of music, archaeology, or anthropology is not required, but may be helpful.
- Technical Expertise: Experience utilizing Slate or a similar CRM platform.
- Domain Familiarity: Familiarity with the disciplines of music, archaeology, or anthropology.
- Advanced Content Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and multimedia content creation capabilities.
