Thanksgiving Break


Students remaining on campus during Thanksgiving break are reminded to keep doors locked and carry their keys between Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.

If you need assistance during the break, please contact the Office of Public Safety at 812-488-2051. The Office of Residence Life will be closed from 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 through Sunday, November 27, 2022. On-Call Residence Life staff can be contacted through Security during this time.

The last meal before break is Tuesday, November 22, 2022 for dinner in The Eatery. The first meal after Thanksgiving Break is Sunday, November 27, 2022 for dinner in The Eatery.

Reserve a whole roasted chicken by Wednesday November 16 at Noon.
Pick up your order on Tuesday, November 22 between Noon and 5 p.m.

Thanksgiving 5-Day Meal Package

Reserve a 5-day package of easy to prepare food items by Wednesday November 16 at Noon.
$87.50 payable with Ace Bucks or credit card.

The Eatery To-Go Containers Pick up a To-Go container in Ridgway and stock it with an extra Meal to be eaten over the Break.

There are also establishments like Subway, Honeymoon, The Slice, Lincoln Garden, and the University Food Mart at the Marathon station across the street are all within walking distance.

Safety Tips during Thanksgiving Break

  • Take home valuables to guard against unforeseen damage or theft
  • Report security issues (such as doors or windows that don’t lock) to the Physical Plant well before break, so they can be fixed prior to your departure.
  • We recommend that Village residents purchase lamp timers to guard against unforeseen damage or theft
  • Insure any property brought to school through homeowners insurance or independent personal property insurance. Two companies that specialize in student personal property insurance are:
