  • Fun Fact: I can split a banana in half with my head.
  • Biography: On campus I am an ACErcise Co-Coordinator and avid cycle class attendee. I enjoy all the grandma crafts (painting, crocheting, embroidery, etc.) and doing yoga. In the future, I hope to become a pediatric physical therapist.
  • Why TRIO?: I chose to become a part of TRIO because I am passionate about helping others. I am excited to be a part of an organization that focuses on building well-rounded students and preparing for the future. I know how difficult college can be and I am eager to act as a resource for students.

  • Fun Fact: I've been to over 10 countries.
  • Biography: I'm a huge matcha fan. On campus I'm a diversity coordinator for the PsyD program as well as working to support the TRIO SSS program! My goal for the future is to work within Perinatal mental health. 
  • Why TRIO?: I relate to the TRIO program as I’m a first-generation college student and I know firsthand the unique challenges that can arise without intermediate support. I look forward to being a supportive peer for the TRIO program, by using my experience to bring forth positive and meaningful change to the UE campus.

Shayleigh specializes in Psychology, Sociology, and English/Literature courses, but can also help with other classes and guide you to resources for other courses not on the list.

  • Biography: I can often be found with an Alani in hand! When at home I work at a veterinarian office as well as a drive-in movie theater! On campus I also work at the Center for Career Development. I am on the executive council for Zeta Tau Alpha as well as a member of Circle K and Actively Moving Forward! I am currently planning on using my degree to work in the prison system as a parolee case manager.

  • Biography: I am an avid Laufey fan. Back home I'm a national park volunteer and Wendy's fry guy. On campus I'm the NCC for RSA and the treasurer for both Venturing Crew and International Club. At the start of the year I also work with International Ambassadors. My goal for the future is to work in drug research as a pharmacist.
  • Why TRIO? I chose TRIO because it changed my life. I was heavily involved with Vincennes University's Upward Bound in high school; that program gave me the skills and knowledge to be here debt free even as an impoverished, first-generation, and rural student. This is how I give back and stay involved.

Mary Braden

  • Fun Fact: I have four published poems!
  • Biography: I like to dabble in a bit of everything, from Chess Club to Venture Crew to SGA and more. When I am at home I work at Chick-fil-A. During the school year I work as a lab assistant and grader. In my free time I follow a multitude of hobbies and always love to try new things with my friends. This is my first year of involvement with SGA as the senator of TRIO, and I look forward to seeing where the experience takes me. My aim for my education is to create a career that involves both my love for writing and for science.
