  • First Generation Student
Your parents or single parent has not earned a bachelor’s degree.
  • Income Eligible
Your parents' or single parent’s taxable income does not exceed the level established by the US Department of Education for family size. See: Current-Year Low-Income Levels.
  • Documented Disability
You have a documented disability (you will need to provide documentation with our Director of Disability Services).

How to Apply

Applying is simple and takes just a few minutes! You will be asked for your UE email address and student ID number so having that information handy before you begin will be helpful. Also, to determine income eligibility, Line 15 from you or your family's IRS Form 1040 is included as a question on the application.

  1. Access the online form
  2. Fill in as completely as possible and submit when finished.
  3. Be sure to check your UE email regularly for updates.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Once accepted, you can be part of TRIO during your time at UE.

TRIO SSS Orientation

New incoming UE students who are accepted to TRIO SSS will be required to attend our program orientation prior to the start of the Fall semester. More details coming soon!  Current and new TRIO participants will be required to attend orientation to be scheduled after the semester begins.
