  • Major and Career Exploration: TruTalent Personality
    TruTalent Personality is an on-line assessment tool that will help you and your organization explore major and career options. Upon completion of this assessment, we will meet with your organization as a group or individually to discuss the results and to help plan their next steps to achieving personal career success.

    So you have the major of your dreams, but are not sure what career opportunities are available to you? Do not worry! This workshop will increase your awareness of the many opportunities available to you after graduation.

  • Values Inventory and Values Auction
    The values auction is engaging, FUN and a student favorite. Students bid on personal and professional work-related values using a finite amount of energy. Freshmen through senior students will benefit from participating in this program.

  • Developing a Dynamic Resume and Cover Letter
    Writing a solid professional resume is a process. In order to help you get started, we have a workshop that will cover the important issues related to resume development such as content and format. Come prepared to leave with ideas on how to get started preparing and/or revising your resume.

  • Social Interaction and Networking
    This program will take the audience through the various types of networking situations and how to appropriately act in those situations. The 30-second oral resume will also be discussed and practiced, and the audience will gain information on how to create networking situations on their own. Lastly the program will explain the details of formal dining etiquette as well as provide an overview of how to dress professionally.

  • Successful Interviewing 101
    Interviewing for any kind of a professional position requires preparation. During this workshop, we will break down the interview into several key components such as company research, scrutinizing a position description, anticipating and preparing effective answers, and preparing questions to ask the company.

  • Graduate and Professional School Options
    Graduate School is a career choice, not a career deferment. This workshop will cover the importance of defining your professional career goals, speaking with your faculty members, and exploring graduate school programs. We are happy to assist you in developing a personalized plan for a successful graduate school decision-making and application process.

    Beginning a full- or internship job search can be overwhelming especially when you are not sure where to begin. We can help you negotiate through the ambiguity and develop a personalized and effective job search strategy with your success in mind.

    Ever wonder what employers and graduate schools are looking for in potential candidates? This workshop is designed to provide you with the necessary information and insight to help you answer that question and get you on the right track to make the most out of your experience at UE.

    At UE, a majority of students have rated their Study Abroad experience as the highlight of their college career; take advantage of that enthusiasm by incorporating it into your job search. We will help you identify the skills and abilities developed while studying abroad, where you should include it on your resume and how you can communicate this experience to employers.

    “Dude! Where’s My Job?” is a comprehensive, interactive program designed to teach the basics of career development from self-assessment to resume development, interviewing techniques and salary negotiation. This program is fun, engaging and worthwhile for students in all majors and class levels.

  • The Internship Process: Benefits and How To Get One
    Internships and co-ops, otherwise known as experiential education, are a window into the world of professional work, the chance to take a risk-free career test drive, and an opportunity to explore your career choices. At the University of Evansville , Experiential Education opportunities abound. Like any employment activity, it takes planning, professionalism and a significant amount of effort to secure the right experience. This workshop will help you learn how to get started!

  • Alumni and Professional Career Panel
    One of the best ways for students to learn what a job is really like the good, the bad, and the ugly to speak with someone who works in that job everyday. Fortunately, several UE alumni have volunteered to share their professional career path and experiences with current students.
